Terms of use
Last updated October 30, 2026
Find Housing is a free public map of market-rate and income-restricted, program-based housing options around Portland, published by WERQ TOGETHER, a trans-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Portland, Oregon. By using it you agree to these terms. Most of them are about what we can and cannot promise.
What Find Housing is
A map and list of rental buildings, each with what we know about its rent, how to get in, the programs it works with, and whether it had openings the last time we checked. It is information to help you decide whom to call. That is the whole service.
What it is not
- WERQ is not a landlord, property manager, real estate broker or housing authority.
- We do not take or process applications, hold units, or decide who gets housing. The building, its manager or the agency that runs its program decides.
- Being listed is not an endorsement, an inspection, or a promise that a building is safe or welcoming.
- Find Housing is not legal, financial or benefits advice.
Where the information comes from
We gather it from public sources, from building managers and their live listings, from programs like One App Oregon and the Housing Connector Hub, and from WERQ's own research and calls. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Openings change daily. Each building shows the date we last checked.
Always call the building before you go, apply, or pay anything.
No guarantees
We do not guarantee that any unit is available, that you are eligible for it, that the rent shown is the rent you will be charged, or that any link still works.
The income limits shown come from HUD's published income limits (the Multifamily Tax Subsidy Project limits, and the Section 8 limits for voucher units). The Income level filter shows the Portland area's limits; each building's listing shows the limits for its own area. Buildings set their own rules, may use different limits or count income differently, and often ask for income of two to two and a half times the rent.
Other websites
Many links leave this site: building and manager websites, application systems, Google Maps, Jane for peer support, and others. They are not run by WERQ. We are not responsible for their content, their decisions, or how they handle your information. Anything you arrange with a building or agency is between you and them.
Using the site fairly
You may use Find Housing to look for housing for yourself or to help someone else, and you may share links to it. Please do not:
- Scrape, copy or harvest the listings in bulk, or build another product or database from them, without asking us first.
- Send automated traffic that slows the site for other people, or try to break, probe or get around how it works.
- Use the listings to harass building staff or residents, or to discriminate against anyone.
If you want to use the data for a project that helps people find housing, email us. We are glad to talk.
Fair housing
WERQ TOGETHER supports fair housing. Federal and Oregon fair housing laws make it illegal to refuse to rent to you, or to treat you differently, because of who you are. In Oregon that includes, among other things, your race, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity, disability, familial status and source of income. If you think a building has discriminated against you, you can report it to the Fair Housing Council of Oregon. You can also tell us at peers@werqt.org, and a WERQ peer can help you think through next steps.
Limitation of liability
Find Housing is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent Oregon law allows. WERQ TOGETHER, its board, staff and volunteers are not liable for any loss that comes from using it or relying on it, including a unit that was not available, an application that was turned down, a wrong rent or income limit, a broken link, or how a building or another website treated you.
Oregon law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. The WERQ TOGETHER Terms of Service cover our other sites and programs; where the two differ, these terms apply on Find Housing.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
